Degree Programs
Students interested in studying issues associated with the dynamics of attending should apply to be
admitted to the Cognitive Psychology
Program of the Ohio State University.
Once admitted to this program, if accepted into ROAR, a graduate student can expect
to receive a broad two year educational program in Cognitive Psychology and a Masters degree (thesis project) on the way
to a doctorate. Skills learned in the ROAR lab include statistical and experimental design, techniques for
studying rhythm, timing, and other aspects of auditory sequences. Various models of dynamic
attending, entrainment and timing are also subjects that can be mastered.
